Softness has a place
Family photographs become stronger when the session gives people enough time to stop rushing themselves.
Softness is not a filter. It is a pace. It shows up when a person has a second to breathe before the frame is made.
For maternity and family sessions across the DMV, the strongest images often come from the small adjustments: a hand resting, a child leaning in, someone laughing after trying not to.
The goal is not to make family life look perfect. The goal is to make the season feel held.
A quiet photograph can still carry a whole season.
